Trust me on this... This painting wasn't meant to be an attempt to emulate Jackson Pollock's style. It was my first attempt to paint a tree and then things went awry.

I began to pitch everything in sight at the canvas. Luckily no one was hurt in the process. The painting is a clear case of art induced anger management. It'll be months until the paint I splattered all over our basement gets cleaned up.
